Summary
This course will bring attention to diastasis rectus abdominis, a condition typically present in pregnant and post-partum women. We will cover the implications of diastasis rectus abdominis as it relates to potential back and lumbo-pelvic stability, potential for pelvic floor dysfunction, and abdominal muscle strength. We will cover ways to assess diastasis rectus abdominis and treatment options as a physical therapist to treat diastasis rectus abdominis. We will cover recent evidence regarding diastasis rectus abdominis.
